The ideal temperature range for plant growth without CO2 supplementation is 70-75 degrees. Temperature is probably the factor that causes the most problems in an indoor garden. When the temperature climbs higher than 85 degrees, plant growth will affect photosynthesis, CO2 uptake, plant transpiration, and internal temperature. Plant growth then progressively slows down or even stops.
The general idea for controlling heat is to exhaust the hottest air out of the area and, at the same time, introduce cool, fresh air in to replace the exhausted air. This source of cool air is critical. Plant growth slows in hot, humid conditions, and your ability to control the temperature in the garden area is only as good as your source of cool, fresh air.
Using extractor fans allows you to control the temperature inside your growroom and keep your plants supplied with CO2. In an enclosed environment your plants will quickly use up all available CO2 which will lead to slowing of growth. An extractor fan is used to bring fresh air in from outside the grow room and another extractor fan is used to extract the old stale air. It might be possible to use just one extractor fan placed high in the growroom with fresh air being pulled in naturally through windows, doorways, etc.
Environmental control is essential for the grow room. There is not a lot of point installing ventilation/heating/CO2 systems and then not maintaining them properly.
C02
There is approximately 300 p.p.m. (parts per million) of CO2 in the atmosphere. Most plants can use 1500 p.p.m. By introducing Co2-enrichment to 1500 p.p.m. it increases the photosynthetic response, allows for higher lighting levels and temperatures and has been reported to have increased yields by up to 50%.

Odour Control
Grow rooms can produce bad odours because of the warmth, humidity, the presence of vegetation and lack of air circulation. This problem can be magnified if you have a large number of plants. We stock carbon filters that are used in conjunction with extraction fans and ozone generators to eliminate such odours.
Ventilation
Ventilation products such as ducting, T and Y pieces, reducers and spigots allow the grower to maintain control over the grow room environment.
